How to get there
Flights directly to Bordeaux. Ferry / Eurostar to France. Closest railway station is Soulac approx. 12kms.

Ferry across the Gironde. Costs approx. €3 per car plus €3 per person. Single tickets only available.

Times Royan to Le Verdon approx. 08.00hrs to 20.30hrs depending on season, approx. every 35 mins.

Times Le Verdon to Royan approx. 07.00hrs to 21.30hrs depending on season, approx. every 35 mins.

Transfers
Available from Bordeaux approx. 60mins (approx. 80km)

Car hire

Open 08.00hrs to 21.00hrs and during July and August 24 hours.

Around and about
Local Vineyards. Art Gallery in Soulac, Basilique Notre Dame de la Fin des Terres. A Benedictine abbey once covered with sand and restored in 19C, a special tour takes you through the wetlands known as la Lagune de Contaut. Bombannes an open air textile, recreation centre.

Beaches and activities
Own sandy beach, the beach is perfectly safe. The beach has lifeguards on duty from 10.00hrs to 18.00hrs from 1st June to 30th September. Lifeguards on duty from 11.00 to 18.00 from June to September 14.

Night life
Disco in Montalivet les Bains. Bars restaurants in Soulac and Montelivet les Bains.

Swimming pool
Large indoor heated pool and outdoor pool for aquatic games, including a chute.

Meals
Available all day in the commercial centre. Breakfast on croissants; take away at lunch and evening available from a variety of restaurants. A La Carte also available, Spanish, French and Fish restaurants. Chicken spit roasts.

Entertainment
Live music most evenings in one of the restaurants. The on site hall will be open for a variety of entertainment: discos, cinema, dancing, concerts.

Activities
Horse riding, boule, tennis, table tennis, craft centre, cycle hire, sun bed hire, Thalassotherapy Centre, crazy golf, volleyball, basketball and judo. At the Thalassotherapy Centre you can have a massage, use the Gym, join in aerobic classes, use the health suite.

For families
Children's pool. Children's play ground. Teenage television rooms.

Cots are available for hire. High chairs are available for hire.

No linen provided (bedlinen only is proposed on rental for €10 /bed/week).

Commercial centre, includes supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, snack bars, take away food outlets, hardware and beach shops, souvenir shops, laundry, electrical goods and own bakery.

Credit Agricole have a branch in the Commercial Centre. Times are according to season. They will exchange Travellers Cheques and Sterling.

Visa / Eurocard / Master Card accepted by ATM next to the bank's entrance in the commercial centre.
